Costs and Financing
The costs for laser treatment and/or lens surgery depend on the method being used. This means that the exact cost of the treatment can only be determined after a detailed examination by our Smile Eyes experts. In general, our prices include all of the preliminary and follow-up examinations you need for up to one year after the operation.
Laser eye surgery costs (cost per eye)
Cost of lens surgery (cost per eye)
Our services include
- A detailed preliminary examination by an ophthalmologist, which includes measuring the wavefront of the eye, a representation of the cornea’s surface and a detailed measurement of its thickness
- If surgery is not suitable for the patient, the basic cost of the preliminary examination will be incurred after the initial examination
- Each examination and treatment will be carried out with state-of-the-art equipment that can detect even the smallest visual defects
- The operation will run perfectly
- You will get a detailed follow-up examination and, if you have laser eye surgery, a correction can be carried out in the first 5 years after the operation
- We are always here for you and have the expertise to answer any questions you may have.
Note for those with private insurance:
As is the case in Germany, there are also a number of private insurance companies in Luxembourg that will cover some of the costs of laser eye surgery or lens implantation. This includes the CMCM. Since 2019, it has reimbursed members €1,000 per eye for refractive surgery after a waiting period of three months. We will arrange the steps you need to take at CMCM.
